A DIGNIFIED DRAMA MINISTRY

A DIGNIFIED DRAMA MINISTRY
What is drama?
Drama means action and refers to a performance on stage or set in which actors act out the events and characters of a story.
What is ministry?
Ministry is a service to God and to people in His name. Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45
What is drama ministry?
Drama ministry is a medium of service to God using stage or set performance to communicate the will of God (His word) to His people.
What is a dignified drama ministry?
A dignified drama ministry is a drama service that is acceptable to God, such that is offered unto God in purity of heart and purpose and in unity of faith which in turn earns the minister(s) divine attention, approval and blessing from God.

So, what then makes a drama ministry dignified?
Before applying these revealed discoveries, one must have ‘Yes’ as answers to these 3 questions:
i.            Are you called or appointed? (Romans 8:30) – It is the calling that guarantees glorification and divine backing. The road may not be smooth but what keeps one going is Divine Backing. (Exodus 23:20)
ii.            Are you rooted and grounded? (Ephesians 3:14–21) – “Half-baked”, “Semi-groomed” and “Par-boiled” Christians won’t go far in ministry because they are not thoroughly furnished and this makes them to give in to defeat or deviate from the true gospel. (2 Timothy 4:10)
iii.            Are you prepared? (Acts 17:11) – Before the mantle of leadership came on Joshua after Moses’ demise, God had to prepare his mind for what was ahead of him. Receiving a calling is easier than remaining in the calling because as the journey progresses, bigger trials emerge. One’s foundation is a determinant on how far one would go.
8 KEYS TO HAVING A DIGNIFIED DRAMA MINISTRY
1.     Taking responsibilities and being personal: Don’t transfer duties. Take charge of your calling as no one can see it the way you do. Avoid any external factors (relationship, age, money, etc) from influencing your right decisions (Jeremiah 1:6-10).
Entrust duties only to the trusted people teammate but have Plan B in case they fail. No one can be trusted 100%. This is why you have got to test before you can trust. In fact, the word “betrayal” only comes from trusted fellows.
2.     Pursue to break new grounds for the Lord: Many ministries believed in repeating the old dramas they ever had (This is not bad), but I challenge you to task your brain in individual or collective thinking, give your time to studying and meditating on the holy scriptures, books and dramas. The same God who gave the former rain will give the latter rain. (Haggai 2:9)
It is good to outstretch yourself. This is where chariots are being prepared for the day of battle. There is no exploits until the test of hard work is passed.
3.     Discard the ‘barriers’ and ‘don’t-go-too-far’ mentality: Many are in the bondage of fear (of what may or never happen). Some time ago, I spoke with a senior colleague in film making career, who told me I would need some couple of millions of naira to shoot a standard movie of which this was very correct but if we were to live by that, we will still be gathering funds in the next two years. Rather, we started from where we are and shot two short movies with one of the latest cameras in vogue. This was achieved by God’s favour and connection with our step of boldness and mindset of possibilities. No matter the faults we had, we learnt many things and broke the chain of ignorance in the field. We became better than we were. No one knows better until he gets there. (Numbers 13 &14)
4.     Work with right co-laborers, other ministries and ministers: We all need each other, as ‘iron sharpens iron’ and ‘no one is an island of knowledge’. Unknown to us, God has kept a key for each one of us in one another’s hands. Partnership in ministry works! It has worked for me many times. We are all great rivers that form a great ocean and God takes all the glory of our exploits (Psalms 133:1).
5.     Be sensitive to the voice of the spirit: The children of Issachar do more exploits for the Lord, why? Not because they do something different. They do what others do but do it at the right calendar and right time and right positioning in the spirit realm. That is why their output is always different and enviable. (1 Chronicles 12:32).
When the Lord asks you to make a U-turn at any journey you embark on without clear instruction before you embark, no matter how far you have gone, make a complete U-turn!
6.     Living and practising what you teach: Many drama ministries preach ‘holiness and hell fire’ but take a close look on their ministers, they will be the first to flop in it. Their living is the opposite of what they preach. People watching them are disappointed so much that the efficacy of their message is watered down. (James 1:22)
7.     Be fully prepared for what is ahead: The reason why most ministries do not go beyond the norms is because they prepare only when they are called for ministrations and the effect is always visible. Every soldier prepares for battle he has not seen. No one goes further beyond what he did not prepare for (2 Chronicles 27:6).
8.     Seek for eagle’s anointing: Except the grace is fresh, there won’t be continuous dignity and sooner struggle begins. It takes continuous prayer team and force to keep the fire burning (Hebrews 4:16).

Ministry is not “You prepare a table before me” neither is it “a freshly baked cake from heaven”. Ministry is a work, a hard work that requires consistency. In fact, you work it out!
If you want to go far, you will have to take it personal and be very serious.
May we attain the peak of our vision in Jesus’ name!
Be refreshed!
